Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

Hello Beauty Lovers!

If you read last week's post (here), you'll know that I received the Urban Decay Troublemaker mascara for my birthday. I've used it quite a few times now and thought I'd share my thoughts about it.

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

When I first asked for the mascara, I didn't know it had fibres in it - normally I avoid fibre mascaras because I have sensitive eyes. To be honest, I don't love the mascara. I think the fibres make my eyes water and I haven't noticed a boost in any volume / length. I have decent lashes to begin with and even I'm struggling, so I can't imagine this'd be much good to someone with stubby lashes. It stains my eyelids when I get it on them and is difficult to flake off.

I like the brush as it has lots of long bristles to separate the lashes, but I find it difficult to apply - it wipes off more product than it applies. As for being 'sex proof' I don't believe that! It smudges under my eyes after 2 hours and all I do is go to work and sit at my desk - nothing vigorous!

I do like the packaging though; I love the rainbow casing and the handwritten font and I like that it has 'UD' debossed on the top.
I'll keep using the mascara and see if I get on better with it - maybe the formula is just too wet at the moment. Once you've let the mascara dry, it builds a lot better, but I just don't have the time in the morning to sit there and let each layer dry.

I love the Urbay Decay eyeshadows but as far as their mascaras go, this hasn't made a good first impression!
What do you think of the Troublemaker mascara?

  1. The brush looks a bit crazyyy! Such a shame it doesn't do all that it claims, the packaging is super pretty though x

    1. I know I was a bit disappointed, I’m usually happier when the mascara has dried out a bit so we’ll have to wait and see xx
