I Heart Revolution, Revolution Surprise Egg Gold

Hello Beauty Lovers!

I was making a Superdrug order the other day when I scrolled past this gold egg... with Easter just around the corner, have you thought of giving something a bit different to chocolate this year?

This gold egg is actually an eyeshadow and highlighter palette! (here) It contains 5 eyeshadows; 2 shimmers and 3 mattes, and 2 highlighter shades which also work well as eyeshadows. The best bit? it's only £5. It's from the I Heart Revolution brand and they come in 6 different styles. It's also 3 for 2 on I Heart Revolution Eggs online at Superdrug at the moments so now's a good time to snap some up for yourself, or to give as gifts!

As you can see from the swatches, the pigmentation is incredible; the shimmers are really lovely and the mattes have good colour payoff. There is a bit of kickback in the pan but not too much. They blend really nicely, and for the price, the longevity is pretty good too. The shades all work really well together so you can create a multitude of different looks with just the one palette. The matte shades work really well as crease / transition shades too. The highlighters are a bit too bright for me, but the gold makes a stunning eyeshadow. It's a cute novelty item and you're getting 7 shades for only a fiver, which I think is a pretty fab deal.

There are 4 to choose from on the Superdrug website and they are:

Rose Gold: 

Eyeshadows: 4 shimmers; pale pink, rose pink, dark rose gold and dark rose brown, plus 1 matte rose brown

Highlighters: 1 light and 1 medium rose gold 

Dragon: 

Eyeshadows: 3 shimmers; a fiery red, a gorgeous gold and a beautiful bronze, plus 2 matte brown shades

Highlighters: 1 warm and 1 cool tone

Gold:

Eyeshadows: 3 matte brown shadows; 1 light, medium and dark, plus 2 stunning shimmer browns

Highlighters: 1 yellow gold and 1 soft bronze gold

Unicorn: 
Eyeshadows: 3 shimmer purple shades; 1 light, medium and dark, plus 2 matte shades; a deep purple and mesmerising blue
Highlighters: 1 icy purple and 1 white pearl

They're all so fun! On the Tam Beauty website they sell the other 2 in the collection which are: Angel (pale pinks) and Mermaid (bluey greens and a gold) which both look insane! I'm starting to think I need all 6... or maybe just Unicorn and Mermaid?

Colossal Easter Nail Art Week

Happy Mothers' Day!

As usual I've been useless with regularly posting on here, and have been EVEN worse on my nailstagram (yes I actually call it that) but I'm back today! I thought as an apology for being rubbish and because I have been lacking nail art in my life recently, I thought I'd do a spring/Easter nail art week. What I mean by this is that I have five spring/Easter nail art tutorials and I am going to post one a day (starting from tomorrow). Does that sound fun?
You could wear these all together or just use one as an accent nail or you could wear one design across all of your nails, it's up to you. I know the pink and white one is a bit of a cheat but it looks dainty across all of your nails and works well with the other four designs- it adds a bit of calm to liveliness of the others.Those are the designs, get excited, I'll be back tomorrow with the chick design!
